Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 August 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you buy from Party & Pillow. We’ve written them the same way we write everything else here — plainly, and without pretending a wall of capital letters makes something fairer.
Party & Pillow is run by Defiance Street Collective LLC, 210 Ditto Street #95, Archbold, OH 43502, United States. When these terms say “we” or “us,” that’s who they mean. “You” is the person buying.
If you have a question about any of this, email partymakers@partyandpillow.com and we’ll reply within 48 hours.
What you’re buying
A personalized sleepover experience: a complete written plan for one night, made for your child after you order it, and delivered to you as files you print at home.
Two things follow from “made after you order,” and they matter:
- Nothing exists in advance. You’re not downloading something off a shelf. We write it once we know who it’s for.
- It’s written for one child, or one specific group. Their name, their age, the things you tell us about them. That’s what makes it worth having, and it’s also why it can’t be resold or handed on to someone else.
Every experience is undated. There’s no expiry, no “use by,” and no season it stops working in. If the party moves, the experience still works whenever it happens.
One purchase covers one household and one celebration. If you want to use an experience commercially or across an organisation, email us — we’ll sort out a licence. We’d rather say yes to a fair arrangement than have you guess.
Prices and payment
Experiences are $147. Optional add-ons are priced at checkout — deeper child-specific story details is $50, and rush delivery is $75.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We don’t see or store your card details. If sales tax applies where you live, Stripe calculates it at checkout and shows it to you before you pay.
Prices can change, but never after you’ve ordered. What you saw at checkout is what you pay.
What we need from you
After you buy, you fill in a questionnaire about the child, the guests, the food and anything we should plan around. This isn’t optional paperwork — it’s the raw material. Without it there’s nothing for us to write.
Please give us accurate information, particularly about allergies, dietary needs and anything sensory or medical we should design around. We build the night from what you tell us. If something important is missing or wrong, we can’t account for it, and we can’t be responsible for a plan that didn’t know about it.
Delivery and timing
- The letter: within 24 hours of your details arriving.
- The full experience: within 7 days of your details arriving — or 3 days if you bought rush.
Both clocks start when your questionnaire arrives, not when you pay, because that’s the moment we can start. If we need to ask you something along the way, the clock pauses until you answer and then picks up again. We only ask when we genuinely need to know.
Everything is delivered by email. It’s worth checking the address you give us is right, and having a look in your spam folder if nothing shows up.
Corrections and changes
One correction round is included. If we’ve misspelled a name, used the wrong age or pronouns, or got a fact wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it — that’s on us.
Changing your mind about the creative direction is different. If the work is correct but you’d like it taken in a different direction, that’s a revision rather than a correction, and it’s $35.
Refunds
The refund policy is its own page, and it’s part of these terms: read the refund policy.
The short version: full refund any time before your child’s letter goes out, and if we miss our delivery window you get a full refund and we send you the finished experience anyway.
You’re the host, not us
We write the plan. You run the night.
That means the practical, physical parts of the evening are yours: supervising the children, checking that an activity suits the group in front of you, preparing food safely, handling allergies, deciding what’s appropriate for the ages and the room, and keeping everyone safe.
Our plans are written to be sensible and age-appropriate, and we take the allergy and sensory information you give us seriously. But we’re not in the room. Use your judgement — if something in the plan doesn’t suit your group, your house or your kids, skip it or change it.
Our content
The experiences, the writing, the artwork, the guides on this site and the Party & Pillow name all belong to us. Buying an experience gives you the right to use it for your party, as set out above — it doesn’t transfer ownership of anything.
The free planning guides on this site are here to be read and used. Quote a bit and link back if it’s useful to you. Don’t republish them wholesale.
Accounts
You don’t need an account to buy — an email address is enough. If you make one, we use magic links rather than passwords, so keep access to your inbox secure. Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
Using the site fairly
Don’t try to break the site, scrape it, get at other people’s orders, or use it for anything unlawful. We can close an account or refuse an order if someone’s doing that.
When things go wrong
We’ll do our best to keep the site running, but we can’t promise it’ll never be down. Occasionally something will break or need maintenance.
If we’re at fault for something, the most we’re liable for is what you paid us — the price of your experience. We’re not liable for indirect or knock-on losses: a party that didn’t go the way you hoped, money spent on decorations or food, or disappointment on the night.
Nothing here limits our liability for anything the law says can’t be limited — including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in place when you placed it — we won’t change the deal after the fact.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts of Ohio.
If you’re a consumer somewhere else, this doesn’t take away protections your local law gives you that can’t be contracted out of, and it doesn’t stop you bringing a claim where your local law says you can.
