Terms of Service

These are the terms you agree to when you buy from Party & Pillow. We've written them the way we write everything else here: in words you can follow, and without pretending a wall of capital letters makes something fairer.
Party & Pillow is run by Defiance Street Collective LLC, 210 Ditto Street #95, Archbold, OH 43502, United States. When these terms say “we” or “us,” that’s who they mean. “You” is the person buying.

What you’re buying
Access to a party guide: a private web link with your whole night planned, plus printables you can download as print-ready PDFs.
Your party guide opens on any device, and you can print any page of it. The downloadable kit has your invitations, signs and game pieces ready to print.
A party guide isn't tied to a date. If the party moves, the guide still works while you have access.
How long you have access
Download your printables and keep them forever. Your private link expires 12 months after we send it, so download everything you want to keep before then. After that, your link shows an "access ended" page. What you downloaded and printed stays yours for your own family's parties, as set out below.
One purchase covers one household. If you want to use a party guide commercially or across an organisation, email us and we'll sort out a licence. We'd rather say yes to a fair arrangement than have you guess.
Prices and payment
A finished party guide is $37. A guide we're still finishing can be pre-ordered at $27, and the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. There are no add-ons.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We don’t see or store your card details. If sales tax applies where you live, Stripe calculates it at checkout and shows it to you before you pay.
Prices can change, but never after you’ve ordered. What you saw at checkout is what you pay.
Delivery and timing
Party & Pillow party guides are digital. Nothing ships to your address. When you order a finished guide, your private link arrives by email the moment you order. A guide we're still finishing can be pre-ordered at a lower price, and your private link arrives within 7 days of your order, often sooner. Every product page says which one it is before you buy. If your link hasn't arrived by then, check your promotions and spam folders, then email us and we'll resend it right away.
It's worth checking the email address you give us is right, since that's where your link goes.
If we ever close
If Party & Pillow ever closes, we'll email you at least 30 days ahead so you can download your printables.
Refunds
The refund policy is its own page, and it’s part of these terms: read the refund policy.
The short version: cancel any time before your link is sent for a full refund, and if the party guide doesn't hold up on the night, reply to your email and we'll refund you.
You’re the host, not us
We write the plan. You run the night.
That means the practical, physical parts of the evening are yours: supervising the children, checking that an activity suits the group in front of you, preparing food safely, handling allergies, deciding what’s appropriate for the ages and the room, and keeping everyone safe.
Our plans are written to be sensible and age-appropriate, and every recipe and activity lists its swaps. But we’re not in the room, so the allergy, dietary and safety calls on the night are yours. Use your judgement. If something in the plan doesn't suit your group, your house or your kids, skip it or change it.
Our content
The party guides, the writing, the artwork, the free planning guides on this site and the Party & Pillow name all belong to us. Buying a party guide gives you the right to use it for your party, as set out above, and it doesn't transfer ownership of anything.
The free planning guides on this site are here to be read and used. Quote a bit and link back if it’s useful to you. Don’t republish them wholesale.
Accounts
You don't need an account to buy: an email address is enough. If you make one, we use magic links rather than passwords, so keep access to your inbox secure. Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
Using the site fairly
Don’t try to break the site, scrape it, get at other people’s orders, or use it for anything unlawful. We can close an account or refuse an order if someone’s doing that.
When things go wrong
We’ll do our best to keep the site running, but we can’t promise it’ll never be down. Occasionally something will break or need maintenance.
If we’re at fault for something, the most we're liable for is what you paid us, the price of your party guide. We’re not liable for indirect or knock-on losses: a party that didn’t go the way you hoped, money spent on decorations or food, or disappointment on the night.
Nothing here limits our liability for anything the law says can't be limited, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in place on the day you ordered. We won't change the deal after the fact.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts of Ohio.
If you’re a consumer somewhere else, this doesn’t take away protections your local law gives you that can’t be contracted out of, and it doesn’t stop you bringing a claim where your local law says you can.
