Personalized for your child

Wizarding Academy

The academy has been watching, and tonight it sends for them by name.

A school of magic assembles itself in your home for one night: a welcome letter that calls the child (or children) by name, teams with their own colors and values, lessons in light and levitation, a potion bench that actually does something, and a final academy challenge the whole class faces together before lights-out.

Wizarding Academy sleepover setup — a personalized welcome sign, velvet teepees with monogrammed cushions, lanterns, potion bottles and hanging banners in a magical academy scene.
The signature moment · 8:30 PM

At 8:30 PM, the academy calls for the potion.

At 8:30 PM the class opens the sealed Mystery Envelope and reads the mission card naming the potion the academy needs tonight. They hunt the hidden ingredients through the house and work out the order, and at the moment they get the sequence right the mixture changes colour, scent or shimmer in front of them.

Every wizard has a story, and this night is the chapter where theirs begins. The emotional core is not the props — it is being chosen, and then being trusted with something that matters.

Inside the experience

What the night includes

  • A themed welcome moment Students are met at the door with a personalized academy letter you print, a passport bearing their name, and a printable name tag — plus a fold-and-tuck house folder they assemble to keep everything the night gives them.
  • Age-appropriate lessons and challenges Spell challenges — Lumen for light, Levitas for lift, Aurora for color — plus enchanted lessons, secret messages and a potion class, pitched to the age edition you choose.
  • Food and drink ideas A long candlelit banquet table, color-changing academy punch, cauldron-style sharing bowls and a bedtime cocoa served by lantern light — built around the foods your child (or children) actually like.
  • Experience Cards Spell challenge cards and lesson cards handed out at the right moments, so the curriculum unfolds through the evening rather than arriving all at once.

Everything here is created after you order, then emailed to you as an editable Canva file with print-ready PDFs you print at home — nothing is posted. It is written for one to eight children and personalized from the details you share, so the final experience varies according to what you tell us.

Made for their age

Built for where they are

Ages 8–10

Teams, lessons and progress genuinely earned across the evening.

  • Spell challenges in stages — steady the light, lift the object, hold the color — each unlocking the next lesson.
  • A potion mission with real steps: ingredients to find, a sequence to deduce, a measurable result.
  • Team points scored against the academy's four values, tallied on a board the students can see filling up.

Questions about Wizarding Academy

They are designed for a kitchen table with a cloth on it. Everything is built from ordinary food-safe cupboard items — the color changes, fizzes and shimmer all come from things you can pick up with the weekly shop — and each activity is marked as look-and-smell rather than drink. We tell you what to lay down, what to do it over, and how long the cleanup honestly takes.

Nothing is required. The academy supplies the identity in print — the letter, the passport, the name tag, the badge, all printed at home — and children arrive already belonging. If you would like a dressing-up element, tell us and we will include simple make-at-home ideas so no guest turns up feeling underdressed or out of pocket.

That is a very common mix, and it is written for. The sceptics get the puzzles, ciphers and the surprising-but-explainable science of the potion bench; the believers get the story, the letters and the wonder. Both groups end up on the same team for the final challenge, which is usually where the eye-rolling quietly stops.

Yes, and that is how we write it unless you ask otherwise. Battery lanterns and flameless candles carry the whole candlelit look, and the lighting guidance is built around them. If you do want real flame anywhere, tell us and we will place it somewhere supervised and away from the children's working space.

The academy has its own teams, each with a color, an emblem and one of its four values: curiosity, courage, kindness and magic. Tell us the group dynamics — who is shy, who is competitive, which two need separating, which cousin needs a role of their own — and we place the children deliberately rather than at random.
