At the moment you choose, the evidence turns on them.
At the signature moment the team opens the sealed Mystery Envelope and finds the planted twist: one piece of evidence that contradicts everything they had agreed on. They spread the case file back out on the floor, re-interview their prime suspect and argue the timeline out loud until the real answer clicks.
This is not a night of worksheets. It is the feeling of being trusted with something important, in a room full of friends, past bedtime.
What the night includes
- A themed welcome moment — Detectives are met at the door with a printed case file bearing their name, a printable badge, and the instruction not to open anything until the whole team has arrived.
- The investigation activities — Evidence examination, suspect interviews, timeline building and a final accusation round, with the host guide marking where to simplify for younger guests and where to add challenge for older ones.
- Food and drink ideas — Stakeout snacks, a detective's midnight refuel, and a suspiciously themed drink — with swaps listed for picky eaters and every common allergy.
- Experience Cards — Evidence cards, suspect profiles and clue prompts the host hands out at the right moments, so the story unfolds instead of arriving all at once.
Everything here arrives as print-ready PDFs with fill-in fields on the pages that need them, so you can add names, dates and details yourself before printing at home. Nothing is posted. It is written for a group of up to 16 guests, and the print-prep table walks you through which pages to print and how many copies.

Party Path
Run the full Core Experience, follow the closing sequence, and have everyone ready for pickup. A complete themed party that ends at a sensible hour and leaves your house intact.
Sleepover Path
Everything in the Party Path, then keep going. Pajamas, movie and lounge time, snacks, bedtime, a slow morning, breakfast and pickup, all planned the same way the evening was.

Guided, Classic or Independent
Same night, three levels of host support. You pick the one that fits the group in front of you, and you can switch between them at any point in the evening.
Guided
You explain more, demonstrate more, check in more often, and stay hands-on throughout. Good for a younger group, a first sleepover, or guests who don't know each other yet.
Classic
You introduce what guests need to know, help where it's useful, then give them room to take part on their own. Start here if you're not sure.
Independent
You set the expectations, the hygiene and the safety boundaries clearly, then let guests run more of the night themselves while you stay available.
Different guests can need different levels on the same night, and you never announce which one you're using. Guests just experience the night.

What you will need
A printer, regular paper, scissors, and a short shopping list of inexpensive supplies. The host guide gives you quantities and a cheaper substitution for every item. Cardstock is worth it for the photo booth props and the cut-out cards if you have it, but plain paper works for everything. The games themselves need nothing but what is already in your house.
