At 8:30 PM, the trail sends them out.

At 8:30 PM the campers open the sealed Mystery Envelope and are sent along the signposted route through the house. There is something to do at every marker, and the final signpost brings the whole camp back to the fire together for the last stop of the night.

All the adventure of a night under canvas and none of the cold, the rain or the 3am walk to the toilet block. The feeling is being somewhere else entirely, without ever leaving the house.

What the night includes

  • A themed welcome moment — Campers are met at a personalized welcome sign you print with a camp passport bearing their name, a printable explorer badge, a printable tag for their sleeping spot and a name label so every mug and bag finds its owner.
  • Age-appropriate camp activities — Den and tent building, trail challenges, nature spotting, knots, shadow puppets, torch games and a campfire storytelling circle, pitched to the age edition you choose.
  • Food and drink ideas — Trail snacks in whatever camp mugs you already own, a s'mores tray assembled at the fire, a camp breakfast that cooks itself and a cocoa for the last story — chosen around the foods your child (or children) actually reach for first.
  • Experience Cards — Trail challenge cards, scavenger hunt cards and campfire story cards handed out stop by stop, so the trail unfolds through the evening rather than arriving all at once.

Everything here is created after you order, then emailed to you as an editable Canva file with print-ready PDFs you print at home — nothing is posted. It is written for one to eight children and personalized from the details you share, so the final experience varies according to what you tell us.

  • A proper indoor scavenger hunt with a written list, room-by-room searching and finds logged on the passport.
  • Knot-tying taught step by step with a card to keep, and shadow puppets learned then performed on the tent wall.

Questions about Indoor Camping Adventure

No. Blankets over chair backs, a sheet across a clothes airer, or a duvet den in the corner all work, and the set-up guidance covers each of those as a first-class option rather than a fallback. If you already own a pop-up tent or a teepee, tell us and we will write the layout around it. Nothing needs buying to make camp look like camp.

None, unless you decide otherwise. The campfire centerpiece is built from battery lanterns, flameless candles, paper flame shapes and warm light — it looks like a fire on camera and gives off no heat. S'mores are written for the oven, the grill or a no-heat assembly version, all handled by an adult. If you do want real flame somewhere, tell us and we will place it away from the fabric and the children's circle.

It is written for ordinary homes, not open-plan show houses. Tell us the space you have and camp is rebuilt around it: one shared den instead of separate tents, the trail routed through hallways and doorways rather than needing extra rooms, the fire circle sized to the floor you actually have, and a sleeping layout worked out in advance so nobody is stepping over anyone at midnight.

That is most of the children who do this one, and nothing assumes prior experience. Every skill — the knots, the torch signals, the story circle — is taught from scratch with a card to keep, and the camp language explains itself as it goes. If anything, it lands hardest with children who have never slept anywhere but a bed.
