Questions about Fairy Garden Sleepover

No. It's written to work indoors first and outdoors as a bonus. A corner of a living room with a canopy, a low table, some foliage and lanterns reads as a fairy garden to a child completely, and indoors gives you control over the light, the weather and the mess. If you do have outdoor space, the guide has an afternoon-outside version that brings everything in before dusk, with a wet-weather plan alongside it so you're never deciding as the light fades.

Usually yes, because the night doesn't require belief, it requires playing along, and children are far better at that than adults expect. The host guide gives you 2 framings: fairies as fact for the children still in it, and fairies as a story the group is in on together for the ones who've quietly moved on. The second one weights the evening toward the making, the tea and the treasure hunting, which is where the older guests want to be anyway.
